Clearfell

Within our fleet of machines, we have a wide range to suit every aspect of timber harvesting. We have light weight floatation machines to suit very soft ground to Tigercat Hill-Climber's, T-Winches and Excavator Winches to cope with extremely steep slopes

Thinnings

We have a range of machinery to suit first and second crop thinnings. Very small narrow machines for first year thinnings to small to mid-size machines for second crop thinngs

Steep Ground Harvesting

Our services also offer the capability of harvesting trees on the steepest of slopes. We currently have six Tigercat 845 “hill-climbers” and two 8WD Ponsse Ergo’s for harvesting on extremely steep slopes.

Wind Farm Clearance

Jim Wilmer & Sons can also provide a windfarm clearance service to our customers. With a fleet consisting over 60 machines, we have the fire power to harvest very large areas of forest in a short space of time.

Excavation

Our company also has the machinery available to construct turning circles, access ramps extraction roads. Excavators and dump trailers are available on request.

Fleet Transportation

Jim Wilmer & Sons also have our own low-loader. This makes machine movements easy and means we can move the machines around when and where we want them.

T-Winch Technology

We now have T-Winch Traction Assist machinery to work extremely steep slopes in a safe working manner.
